The date was weird and not good and I don't want to talk about it. Letting everyone know now. Sunday dinners will not be a prob in the future.

Strep Throat Odyssey

I made it through my indentured servitude to public education to be thrown right into a raging case of strep throat. Someone explain the justice in that to me.

I have learned a few things about myself over the last few days of pain and torture...

1. I have a low pain threshhold. And I feel like in this day and age when we can clone a being we should be able to spray something in my throat that won't make me throw up and makes it stop hurting. I mean seriously.

2. If you don't move, nothing hurts as much. Until you are forced to move and your body is locked in that "stiff like a board" position you've been maintaining for that past three hours.

3. Fruit Punch gatorade is gross. Strawberry is also not all that great. Turns out, I'm a strawberry-kiwi kind of gal.

4. Whimpering doesn't help.

5. I should not read highly imaginitive books and then slip off into a fever induced sleep. Maybe I just shouldn't read period when sick...I had the weirdest dreams ever about those books. One was a historical account of Salem and I totally dreamed I was in a coven. Freaked Erin out when I woke up talking about it while she was trying to medicate me.

6. I cannot gargle. If forced to, I would probably drown.

7. I have no concept of what I dreamed and what really happened. I kept trying to tell Abby about something we did one time and she finally yelled "You were dreaming!" She might have put a dumbass on the end of that, but maybe I dreamed it.

SEPC in Review...

So this weekend I went to a Panhellenic COnference in Atlanta. 1,300 sorority women in one hotel, using the same 6 elevators, showering at the same time, not seeing any men from Thursday to Sunday.

I'll be honest, I only hated it a little.

I just love the interaction between all these different types of people from all over the South representing a concept that I really like. I presented a program on Recruitment Manuals, it went really well. The Recruitment Manual I made last year got best in the nation...AGAIN. AND I got a second interview with Phi Mu. It's tomorrow at 7:30. A.M. people.

So here are some pics...

Here is my sign...It had my name on it and everything!

Here is me in front of my sign, right before my session. I was really professional.

This is me and den Daas. At the awards banquet. Right before I..I mean Oklahoma...won.

And these are the wonderful flowers my wonderful parents sent me after my wonderful presentation. I left them with a very nice cleaning lady who brought me extra towels pretty much every day. She was very appreciative.
