Check-In, Birthday, First Day of School...OH MY!
So it has been a lot this month. My bad guys, my bad.
This month I helped move 3700 freshmen into the residence halls. Fortunately I didn't actually have to carry boxes or any nonsense like that. But I did have a mom ask me why she couldn't have a key to her daughter's room. You know, to check on her and clean and do laundry while she was in class. I literally closed my eyes and said a small prayer thanking Jesus for giving me parents who cut the cord. I mean, I wasn't even in Norman before my bed got replaced with a futon! Much better path. Kudos to all of my parental units involved.
I ended a 17 day working stretch (that's right, 17 days PLUS strep throat!) on Saturday because it was my BIRTHDAY! Now, I'm an odd duck when it comes to my birthday. I really don't like to be sung to or open presents in front of people. I know, weird since I normally really don't mind being the center of attention. But I seriously don't like public singing or presents. Sorry.
But my friends / boyfriend showed up in a big way on my birthday. I got a surprise pancake jammie breakfast and a party and some FABULOUS pearl earrings (good job Kyle). And they made a cupcake cake mountain thing that simply defied gravity. It was great fun.
Today is the first day of school and I have class and everything. I even laid my outfit out last night. Like a dork. But I am excited to start another year and see what this one throws at me. I think after this summer I am much better prepared to handle pretty much EVERYTHING.
And I played the book game so I wouldn't be left out.
It confused me. There should be more questions to be so accurate.

You're To Kill a Mockingbird!
by Harper Lee
Perceived as a revolutionary and groundbreaking person, you have
changed the minds of many people. While questioning the authority around you, you've
also taken a significant amount of flack. But you've had the admirable guts to
persevere. There's a weird guy in the neighborhood using dubious means to protect you,
but you're pretty sure it's worth it in the end. In the end, it remains unclear to you
whether finches and mockingbirds get along in real life.
