A very WILD Wild Rumpus

Theo and I have been short on wild rumpus time lately so I snagged this weekend as a golden opportunity to remedy that. He came to work on Friday and promptly charmed my boss's boss, which I of course am never opposed to. We went to the Play Place and then, THEN we went to the TOY STORE.

I thought Andrea and Sam's matchbox birthday was brilliant because the child does have a LOT of stuff at home. However, he doesn't have that much here! So we went to get another Happy Birthday to stay at Erin's "new old house." It took 45 minutes people. He kept asking what he wanted to take home. And he told me he wanted steak for dinner. He got chicken nuggets. :)

After that it was home for a new movie and night time.

But this morning, oh this morning! We made pancakes, we went to the museum, we played with a sprinkler, we ate popsicles! What a rumpus filled day!

Unfortunately none of the "Theo and dinosaur" pictures really came out, but here he is in the Native People's exhibit, he spent quite a bit of time in this boat. Singing. About rowing this particular boat. The security gaurds LOVED it.

I have been ridiculously excited about this sprinkler because some of my favorite memories with my cousins involve popscicles, Granny's backyard, and a sprinkler. And this is an AWESOME sprinkler. Theo's a cautious kid though and this was sort of a lot...

And this is about as close as he wanted to be to it. He was also upset because the rain washed away alst night's chalk artwork and the sprinkler was making today a bit difficult to create a new masterpiece. Also, please note the cleanliess of this moment in time.

I mean, fudgescicles start out very innocently. Here is why they can never be eaten in regular clothing, inside, or around anyone that is concerned about being wet or covered in chocolate slobber. Also the reason for the sprinkler.

At the end of rumpus of this magnitude it is best to to lay on your couch (literally, he refers to this as his couch) with your blanket and your new "opulars" and watch the end of Ice Age because now you know what mammoth bones actually look like...
